Uses
Mirtaz (Mirtazapine) is an antidepressant. It is used by many people to treat depression. The active ingredient in this drug can help to restore the natural mental equilibrium, by affecting certain natural chemicals (such as serotonin) which can become unbalanced, causing depression and other symptoms. In addition to depression, many patients use this drug to treat anxiety, to help with weight gain in patients who are underweight, to provide relief from obsessive compulsive disorder, and to treat many other conditions.
Dosage and Administration
Mirtaz (Mirtazapine) tablets must be taken exactly as directed by your doctor, and you must never exceed the dosage that has been prescribed to you, as doing so could be dangerous. In most cases, patients will be directed to take it once per day, just before bed. Swallow each tablet whole, with a glass of water. 1 to 4 weeks of treatment may be required before the full benefits are noticed. Continue taking this drug as prescribed, and do not suddenly stop taking it without talking to your doctor, as your dosage many have to be reduced gradually.
