Uses
Premarin Vaginal Cream (Conjugated Estrogen) is used to reduce the severity of symptoms associated with the menopause. The cream contains female hormones which are necessary for many processes within the female body. Symptoms which this cream has been shown to improve include hot flushes and vaginal dryness. It can also be used to treat such conditions as hypoestrogenism, vaginal atrophy, and post-menopausal osteoporosis.
Dosage and Administration
Always follow the instructions given by your doctor or on the packaging included. Do not self-medicate. Do not adjust your dose unless your doctor or other doctor specifically instructs you to do so.
Premarin Vaginal Cream (Conjugated Estrogen) is to be applied topically as advised by your doctor. Consult your doctor if you are unsure about how to use the cream.
Usually patients will be prescribed this medication for a few weeks at a time with one week off, in a similar to how female oral contraception is used.

In some very rare cases this medication has been linked to blood clots causing deep vein thrombosis, pulmonary embolism, heart attacks, or strokes. If you notice any numb sensations, left arm pain, severe headaches, confusion, vision changes, or slurred speech, seek medical attention immediately.
Precautions
Do not smoke while using this medication.
Make sure you doctor is aware if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
Before you begin taking this medication always disclose any prescribed medication, over-the-counter medicine, herbal products, or dietary supplements which you are taking.
It is also very important that you disclose any other health conditions or illnesses which you suffer from or have suffered from recently. Seek emergency medical attention if you are suffering an allergic reactions. Symptoms which may indicate a reaction of this kind include swelling, chest pains, difficulty swallowing, trouble breathing, skin rashes, and hives.
