Uses
Retino-A (Tretinoin) contains an active ingredient which is a type of first generation retinoid, and it may also be referred to as a carboxylic acid form of vitamin A. It is used as a facial treatment for acne, as it is known to unblock the pores and act as an exfoliating agent. This helps to restore the normal functioning of the glands in the skin which produce oil, leading to a reduction in spots and blackheads.
Medical studies have been carried out to determine whether or not there are any other applications for this medicine. Conditions for which this cream have been studied include removing wrinkles, reducing the signs of aging on the face, increasing the amount of collagen being produced, treating stretch marks on the skin and possible use in the treatment of hair loss.
Dosage and Administration
Retino-A (Tretinoin) cream is applied topically. Make sure the skin is clean and dry before applying it, as application to wet skin may result in irritation.
