Uses
Tiova Rotacaps (Tiotropium Bromide) are used to prevent narrowing of the airways in the lungs (bronchospasm) in patients suffering from COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, bronchitis or emphysema. When used regularly, it is considered to be effective at preventing breathing difficulties and other related symptoms in those affected by lung disease. The active ingredient in this medication is known as a bronchodilator. It works by widening (dilating) the airways in the lungs, which in turn helps the patient to breathe easier.

Dosage and Administration
Tiova Rotacaps (Tiotropium Bromide) are a special type of capsule which contain powder that is inhaled. To inhale it, you should use a special inhalation device, such as a Cipla Rotahaler or Revolizer. If you are unsure, you should ask your doctor for further information. A medical consultation is necessary prior to using this medication, so that the correct dosage can be determined. Your doctor may tell you to inhale it once per day. Regular use is required in order for the treatment to be effective. It is likely that you will be directed to take it at the same time each day, and not to suddenly stop using it unless directed to do so.

Side effects
If you are using Tiova Rotacaps (Tiotropium Bromide) to treat and manage a breathing condition, you should note that there is a possibility of side effects occurring, such as:

• Nosebleeds
• Sneezing
• White sores in the mouth
• Muscular pain
• Sneezing or a sore throat

If any side effects become more serious or persistent, you should consult your doctor straight away. This medication may also cause more serious side effects. It is necessary to immediately see your doctor for immediate medical attention if you notice blurred vision, pain affecting the eyes, painful urination, red eyes, a sore throat or any other side effects which are not listed here.

Precautions
If you suffer from or have a history of glaucoma, urination problems or kidney disease, you are strongly advised to inform your doctor about this prior to commencing treatment with this drug.

This medication is not meant for providing rapid relief from a sudden attack of breathlessness. It is instead used to prevent this from occurring. Your doctor will most likely prescribe a quick relief inhaler for you to use in case a sudden attack of breathing problems occurs.

Seek immediate emergency medical attention if you suffer an allergic reaction. Symptoms to watch for, which may be indicative of a reaction, include skin rashes, hives, swelling of the face or limbs, trouble breathing, and trouble swallowing.

Always use Tiova Rotacaps (Tiotropium Bromide) as you have been prescribed by your doctor. Never self-medicate or change your dosage without first consulting your doctor. The correct dosage can vary depending on your health, medical history, and the severity of the condition being treated.

This medication may not be safe for all patients. Before you begin using it always disclose the following to your doctor:
