Uses
Caverject Impulse Injection (Alprostadil) is an injection used by male patients to treat erectile dysfunction. It contains the active ingredient Alprostadil, which is a type of Prostaglandin E1 (PGE1). This injection works by relaxing the muscles in the penis and also increasing the flow of blood to the penis.

Dosage and Administration
Caverject Impulse Injection (Alprostadil) should not be used more than three times per week, or on any two consecutive days. The prescribed or recommended dosage should never be exceeded.

Side effects
Patients who use Caverject Impulse Injection (Alprostadil) may notice some of the following commonly experienced side effects:

• Abnormal heartbeats
• Low blood pressure
• Urgent need to pass urine
• Persistent painful erection
• Pain in the penis and/or testicles
• Formation of fibrous tissue
• Abnormal ejaculation
• Inflammation of the tip of the penis
• Yeast infection
• Tightening of the foreskin
• Blood clots
• Urethral bleeding
• Redness, swelling or itching at the injection site

Precautions
You should not use Caverject Impulse Injection (Alprostadil) if you have any of the following conditions:

• Allergies to any ingredients of this product
• A medical condition which makes sexual activity dangerous
• A sickle-cell disease, leukemia, or plasma cell myeloma
• Deformation, penis surgery, scarring on penis, or a narrow foreskin opening
