Uses
Clocip B Cream (Beclomethasone Dipropionate/Clotrimazole) is an effective topical treatment for fungal infections of the skin such as ringworm, jock itch and athlete's foot. This cream is usually prescribed for fungal infections where swelling, redness and itchiness are present. One of the ingredients in this cream (clotrimazole) works by preventing the fungi from producing a substance called ergosterol. Without this, the fungi are eventually destroyed. The other ingredient (beclomethasone) is a corticosteroid, which relieves itching and swelling. Together, these two ingredients help to effectively treat the skin conditions mentioned above.
Dosage and Administration
Before you start using Clocip B Cream (Beclomethasone Dipropionate/Clotrimazole), you must visit your doctor. He or she will examine your condition, and tell you how long you need to continue treatment for. In the majority of cases, adults are told to apply the cream to the affected areas of skin twice per day (in the morning and the evening). Patients treating skin conditions affecting the groin or body are usually told to continue treatment for 2 weeks, whereas treatment of infections on the feet generally takes 4 weeks. Doctors will usually not prescribe a treatment plan lasting for more than 4 weeks, as this could cause side effects.
