Uses
Lamisil Cream (Terbinafine) is a topical treatment for fungal infections of the skin, and it contains an active ingredient which is a type of allylamine antifungal. This ingredient prevents the fungi from producing ergostel, resulting in the destruction of the fungal cell membranes. Patients who are suffering from athlete's foot, jock itch, ringworm, candida albicans (a yeast infection which can affect the skin) and pityriasis versicolor may be prescribed this cream. Other conditions which have not been listed here may also be treated.

Dosage and Administration
Consult your doctor before using Lamisil Cream (Terbinafine) to treat your skin. You will be told the right amount of cream to apply, as well as how long you will need to use it for. Ensure that the skin you are treating is clean, and apply a thin layer of cream. In most cases, adults are directed to apply it 1 to 2 times per day. After applying it, you must thoroughly wash your hands. Never apply the medicated cream to the nose, eyes or inside the vagina.

Side effects
Applying Lamisil Cream (Terbinafine) to the skin can sometimes cause side effects, which can include redness, itchiness or a mild stinging sensation where the cream has been applied. Tell your doctor about any side effects which occur. If you experience serious side effects, you must stop using the cream immediately and consult your doctor.

Precautions
If blistering, oozing or inflammation of the skin occurs, you should immediately consult your doctor.

You should not use a bandage to cover treated areas of skin unless your doctor tells you to.

Seek immediate emergency medical attention if you suffer an allergic reaction. Symptoms to watch for, which may be indicative of a reaction, include skin rashes, hives, swelling of the face or limbs, trouble breathing, and trouble swallowing.

Always use Lamisil Cream (Terbinafine) as you have been prescribed by your doctor. Never self-medicate or change your dosage without first consulting your doctor. The correct dosage can vary depending on your health, medical history, and the severity of the condition being treated.

This medication may not be safe for all patients. Before you begin using it always disclose the following to your doctor:
