Uses
Lamisil Cream (Terbinafine) is a topical antifungal treatment, effective against various fungal skin infections. It is mainly used to treat athlete's food (also known as tinea pedis), however, the active ingredient in this cream is also effective against pityriasis versicolor, ringworm (tinea corporis), jock itch (tinea cruris), and skin infections caused by a type of yeast called candida albicans. This cream works by destroying the fungi that cause the infection, which relieves the symptoms of the infection, allowing it to clear up.
Dosage and Administration
Lamisil Cream (Terbinafine) is applied directly to the area of skin that needs treatment. However, you must visit your doctor, so that your condition can be properly diagnosed, and so that you can be told how long you need to continue using it. If you are treating jock itch, you may be told to apply the cream once per day, for a period of one week, after which your doctor will provide you with further instructions. Treatment of athlete's foot generally requires applying the cream to the foot (which should be clean and dry) or else between the toes, just before bedtime. Never use the cream for longer than your doctor tells you to use it.
Side effects
Applying Lamisil Cream (Terbinafine) to the skin to treat fungal infections may cause side effects, most of which occur at the application site, such as:
If any serious side effects occur, such as severe blistering or extreme irritation of the skin occur, you should stop using the cream and consult your doctor immediately.

Always use Lamisil Cream (Terbinafine) as you have been prescribed by your doctor. Never self-medicate or change your dosage without first consulting your doctor. The correct dosage can vary depending on your health, medical history, and the severity of the condition being treated.
