Uses
Olmo (Olmesartan Medoxomil) is used to treat hypertension (high blood pressure). It is an anti-hypertensive medication, also referred to as an angiotensin II receptor antagonist, which may be used either alone or combined with other medications. It works by relaxing the patient's blood vessels, allowing blood to flow more easily which leads to lower blood pressure and decreased risk of associated conditions such as heart related conditions, strokes, and kidney conditions.

This medication is not recommended for children under 5 years of age.

Dosage and Administration
Always use Olmo (Olmesartan Medoxomil) as advised and prescribed by your doctor as the correct dosage can vary depending on the patient's medical history and the severity of the condition being treated.

They typical dosage is 20mg per day. Elderly patients and patients 16 or under may be prescribed 10mg per day depending on their weight and the severity of their condition.

Side effects
Report all side effects to your doctor. Possible side effects while taking Olmo (Olmesartan Medoxomil) may include:

• Nausea
• Vomiting
• Dyspepsia
• Abdomen pain
• Muscle pains
• Joint pains
• Coughing
• Sore throat
• Runny nose
• Vertigo

If any side effects persist, worsen, or begin to worry or bother you, inform your doctor as soon as possible.

Seek immediate medical attention if you experience an allergic or hypersensitive reaction. Possible symptoms may include skin rashes, hives, chest pains, swelling, trouble swallowing, or difficulty breathing.

Precautions
Olmo (Olmesartan Medoxomil) may not be safe for all patients. Before you begin using this medication, disclose to your doctor all of the following which apply to you.

• If you suffer from any allergies.
• If you suffer from any other existing medical conditions.
• If you are taking any other medication (including all non-prescriptions medicine).
• If you are using any supplements or herbal products.
• If you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
