Olmecip

Uses
Olmecip (Olmesartan Medoxomil) is given to patients affected by high blood pressure to lower their blood pressure. By lowering high blood pressure, this drug may help to minimise the risk of kidney problems, heart attacks or strokes. The active ingredient in this medication is in a class of drugs called angiotensin receptor antagonists. It helps to prevent the blood vessels from becoming narrow, thereby improving the flow of blood, while also reducing blood pressure.

Dosage and Administration
If your doctor has prescribed Olmecip (Olmesartan Medoxomil) tablets to you, it is essential that you follow all instructions provided. In most cases, patients who have been prescribed this drug are told by their doctor to take it once per day. It may be taken either with or without food. There is a possibility that the prescribing doctor may direct you to take a low dosage to begin with, which may then be increased after 2 weeks of treatment. It is necessary to continue taking this drug in order for it to be effective.

Side effects

Seek immediate emergency medical attention if you suffer an allergic reaction. Symptoms to watch for, which may be indicative of a reaction, include skin rashes, hives, swelling of the face or limbs, trouble breathing, and trouble swallowing.
